Framna

Digital Products That Make Everyday Life Easier
Framna is a leading digital product development company formed in 2023 through the merger of Bontouch (Sweden) and Shape (Denmark). With studios in the UK, US, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and across the Nordics, and backed by private equity firm Waterland, Framna unites over 500 digital specialists across 7 studios. Together, they create digital tools used by more than 10 million people every day.

Framna specialises in human-centred digital touchpoints—the kind of seamless, helpful apps people use to manage their daily lives, whether it’s checking a bank balance, tracking electricity usage, or navigating public transport. These products are designed for real-life impact: intuitive, reliable, and woven into the user’s everyday routine.

With over 100 international awards and partnerships with major blue-chip clients across finance, energy, healthcare, and mobility, Framna’s work is widely recognised—but accolades aren’t the goal. The true focus is on the end consumer: creating digital experiences that are easy to use, beautifully designed, and genuinely helpful.

A People-First Approach to Purposeful Growth
In May 2024, Framna appointed a new Group CEO, Joacim Jeppesen, chosen for his background in digital innovation and understanding of Nordic culture. Under his leadership, the company is building a strategy that balances growth with maintaining high-quality, user-focused products.

Framna’s partnership with Waterland is a key part of that strategy. More than just a source of capital, Waterland shares Framna’s values—especially the belief that a company’s core strengths should be amplified, not redefined. Together, they are pursuing international growth through carefully chosen acquisitions that align with Framna’s culture and mission.

Even as Framna grows beyond its Nordic roots, its purpose remains the same: to help people navigate modern life more easily through thoughtful digital experiences. It is about being truly useful to the people who rely on these products each day.

And as the CEO, Joacim Jeppesen, put it: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
