Montronic and Waterland enter into a growth partnership
Waterland announces its investment in Montronic to build jointly Spain’s leading electronic manufacturing services (EMS) group by means of a selective buy-and-build strategy.
Founded in 1997 and based in Vic, Montronic is an EMS provider with a team of more than 90 professionals. It is focused on the high-mix/low-volume segment of the EMS market, providing advanced solutions for multiple industries including diversified industrial goods, renewable energy, healthcare, power electronics, lighting and e-mobility amongst others. Montronic carries out the design, prototyping (Design for Manufacturing and Design for Testing), manufacturing (state-of-the-art Surface-Mount-Technology and Through-Hole-Technology), testing (In-Circuit Test and Functional Circuit Test), quality control (X-Ray, 3D AOI, etc) and mechatronic assembly, as well as the procurement management of the electronic components.
The alliance with Waterland will support Montronic’s ambition to accelerate its growth trajectory organically and inorganically via targeted acquisitions, strengthening its product offering capabilities and expanding its geographical presence to consolidate Montronic’s preeminent position as the leading player in the Spanish EMS sector.
