About Thomas
Thomas Chevalier is General Counsel for the Waterland Group.
Prior to joining Waterland, Thomas was head of legal for private equity at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) in Abu Dhabi, Executive Director and lead counsel for UBS Asset Management’s private markets business in APAC (based in Hong Kong) and investment director at SL Capital Partners in Edinburgh, UK. Thomas was also an attorney-at-law, specialising in real estate, M&A and private equity at Clifford Chance and Linklaters in Brussels and King & Wood Mallesons in Luxembourg.
Thomas holds Master degrees in law from Ghent University (magna cum laude, 2002) and New York University School of Law (2003) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA, 2010) from Insead (France/Singapore). He is a member of the New York State bar.
