Waterland joins forces with Dartshopper for next phase of international growth

Bussum, the Netherlands, 20 April 2026 – Waterland Private Equity (“Waterland”) has entered into a strategic partnership with Dartshopper, the leading online specialist in darts products. Through this collaboration, both parties aim to further accelerate Dartshopper’s international growth and strengthen its position as a global market leader.

Founded in 2014 and based in Veldhoven, Dartshopper has grown into the largest online retailer of darts equipment, offering a wide range of dartboards, darts and accessories. The company employs 150 people and serves customers across multiple European markets through localised webshops. With a centrally managed organisation and logistics operation, Dartshopper efficiently serves its international customer base. Its strong position has been built on a broad product offering, a data-driven approach and a focus on customer experience.

The market for darts equipment is characterised by structural growth, driven by the increasing popularity of the sport, product innovation and a growing international player base. In addition, recurring purchases and a strong community around the sport make it an attractive and resilient market segment.

Waterland sees Dartshopper as a strong platform with clear growth opportunities, both organically and through targeted acquisitions. The partnership will focus on further international expansion, strengthening the quality of the organisation and enhancing the product and service offering—ensuring customers benefit from an even better shopping experience, a broader assortment and high service levels.

Through this, Waterland and Dartshopper aim to accelerate the company’s growth and further strengthen their leading position in the global darts market.
